Design and develop schematics and PCB layouts for motor control, power management, and sensor interfaces. Manage BOMs and vendors, perform hardware bring-up, testing, debugging, and EMI/EMC validation. Collaborate with firmware engineers for hardware-software co-design and maintain hardware documentation and revision history.
What You’ll Be Building
Design and develop the hardware backbone of our robotic systems. You’ll own the Electrical design lifecycle, from schematic capture and layout to bring-up and validation, ensuring our electronics are reliable, efficient, and field-ready.
Your Mission Includes
- Designing schematics and PCB layouts for motor control, power management, and sensor interfaces
- Performing component selection, BOM management, and vendor qualification
- Conducting hardware bring-up, functional testing, and debugging
- Working closely with firmware engineers for hardware-software co-design
- Supporting EMI/EMC compliance and environmental testing
- Maintaining detailed hardware documentation and design revision history
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with 1-3 years of hands-on embedded hardware experience
- Hands-on PCB design experience (Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of power electronics, motor drivers, and communication protocols
- Proficiency with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters
- Ability to debug at board and system level under real-world conditions
- Basic proficiency in C/C++ for firmware interfacing and hardware validation
- Experience with hardware configuration and testing across system bring-up phases
- Familiarity with HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) development and peripheral configuration
Tools & Technologies
- PCB Design: Altium Designer / KiCad
- Circuit Simulation: SPICE / LTspice
- Lab Equipment: Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Power Supplies, Multimeters
- Communication Protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-485, Ethernet etc.
- Version Control: Git + hardware file management
