The Engineering Lead will design and develop scalable fintech systems, mentor juniors, and lead architectural decisions while collaborating across teams.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Lead(Backend) to join the rapidly growing fintech product-based startup. In this critical role, you will play a key part in designing and developing scalable, high-performance systems that power financial solutions for businesses around the globe.As a senior engineer, you will drive architectural decisions, mentor junior team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver exceptional user experiences and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Product Engineering: Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure fintech platforms using modern technologies.
- System Architecture: Lead the design of micro services based architectures that ensure performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code primarily in Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and DevOps teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of systems deployed on AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring and object-oriented design principles.
- Proven track record in building and scaling backend systems for high traffic and large-scale applications.
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
- Experience with cloud-native tools and infrastructure-as-code practices is a plus.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
