Engineering Manager, Full-Stack

systems to enable large-scale AI deployments. Our team comprises industry veterans who are passionate about building the sophisticated systems that support the next generation of computing in a fast-paced startup environment. 

The Role:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of 7–9 full-stack engineers. This is an ideal role for an early-career manager who thrives in a high-ownership, startup environment. You will be the technical anchor for a team building mission-critical tools that bridge the gap between our software and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate has a "lead by example" philosophy, possesses deep full-stack expertise, and excels at translating complex operational workflows into elegant, scalable software solutions. You will be responsible for the growth of your engineers, the architectural integrity of our platforms, and the seamless integration of our software into the physical manufacturing lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• People Leadership: Conduct regular 1-on-1s, provide actionable feedback, and guide the career development of 7–9 engineers.
• Technical Leadership & Architecture: Guide the team through complex architectural decisions across the full stack. You’ll ensure our React/Python/PostgreSQL environment remains robust, performant, and scalable as our manufacturing needs evolve.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing and other software teams to translate operational needs into technical requirements and user-focused features.
• Strategic Execution: Balance the immediate needs of the manufacturing floor with long-term technical health, ensuring the team stays focused on high-impact deliverables. 

Requirements:

• Technical Mastery: A strong foundation in full-stack development, with specific expertise in React, Python,
  PostgreSQL on AWS. You should be comfortable diving into the details of a database schema or code organization of backend microservices.
• Systems Thinking: You excel at understanding how software interacts with non-software systems. Experience in a startup or an environment involving physical hardware/manufacturing is a significant plus.
• Effective Communicator: You can explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in Manufacturing and Hardware teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
