We are seeking a talented individual to join our Oliver Wyman Group technology team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Cluj Napoca.

Marsh McLennan has established its EMEA Technology Hub in Cluj, reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence. This hub is central to our digital strategy, addressing emerging challenges and enhancing service delivery through advanced technology solutions that empower our clients and promote sustainable growth. In this role, you will oversee one or more Pods, ensuring the successful delivery of working software to production while implementing our Agile at Scale Delivery model.

Marsh McLennan, the world's leading professional services firm in risk, strategy, and people, is looking for an Enterprise Architect focused on Cloud Infrastructure.

As a member of the OWG Tech team, you will join a group of highly experienced individuals who operate collaboratively across the organization to set technical strategies, approaches, and standards, as well as work collaboratively with teams across the enterprise. In this role, you will join a growing team and have a direct impact on its effectiveness.

As the Enterprise Architect - Cloud Infrastructure, you will help to design and architect our cloud infrastructure using modern practices, including the design of our Infrastructure as Code (IAC) templates, policies, and guardrails.

We will count on you to:

• Champion Modern Cloud practices across a variety of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google);

• Architect & design IAC components/recipes that enable our business solution teams and work with Engineering teams to realize their implementation;

• Partner with our key control groups like Security and Compliance to design effective built-in guardrails for our Cloud Architecture;

• Leverage standard engineering approaches in line with the wider technical strategy and roadmap;

• Find effective solutions for complex problems;

• Run architectural and design workshops for colleagues and customers, including creating training material if required;

• Inform various stakeholders of any problems with technical development and delivery, suggesting alternatives, and mitigating risks;

What you need to have:

• 1-3+ years’ experience designing “infrastructure as code” solutions for the cloud using Azure ARM templates, CloudFormation, and/or Terraform.

• 3+ years’ experience architecting cloud adoption, modernization, and/or migrations for large enterprises in AWS;

• Clear understanding of cloud best practices and anti-patterns;

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or similar working experience;

• AWS/Azure Architecture Certifications.
