ESG Data Analyst (Accounting)
The ESG Data Analyst will join and support the Statutory Reporting (Accounting)team with data gathering and data analytics to support ESG (Environmental, social, and governance) reporting, including, but not limited to, EU Taxonomy, CSRD and CSDDD. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in ESG reporting and apply a combination of these fields: reporting, analysis, problem solving, and training.
Responsibilities
· Support accounting operation issues, such as but not limited to data checking and monitoring
· Develop, create, modify, and update dashboards and visualizations for the business partners and maintain the integrity of the reports
· Train business partners on new dashboards and reports
· Pool/gather data from various sources, filter through the data, analyze the results, and consolidate into a brief report with recommended action items
· Review, Investigate, organize, and explain revenue data for new acquisitions
· Determine the best source for data, ad hoc reports and analysis, and present a summary of findings to management
· Suggest areas for alignment and process improvement
· Update existing process and procedural documentation/material in line with system enhancements and changes
· Work effectively with cross-functional teams globally, assimilating requirements, driving results in the form of data insights
· Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
· At least 3 years of financial analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and database reporting & analysis experience
· Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
· Understanding of accounting policies and has a good knowledge of how data works
· Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work well independently and in groups
· Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
· Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
· Working knowledge of Databases, Hyperion, Oracle BI, and Tableau software packages preferred
