Position Overview:

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our growing general ledger team. The Finance Analyst is responsible for managing the books closure & other general ledger related activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Working with external consultants to prepare and file various returns to required deadlines including but not limited to:
    • Goods and service tax returns, refunds and notices
    • Non-STPI monthly returns and notices
    • Tax Deducted at Source workings & quarterly returns (non-payroll)
  • Preparing monthly reconciliations for GST and TDS
  • Preparing GST & TDS monthly GL reconciliations and managing any other GL related tasks as assigned
  • Collaborating closely with consultants to ensure we are current and compliant with all local and international laws and regulations
  • Collaborating with the Accounts Payable team to fulfill Form 15CA/CB requirements for international payments.
  • Managing the global prepaid expenses (preparing schedules, reconciliations and posting entries)
  • Supporting global bank reconciliations (preparing FX reconciliations, posting ad hoc and bank transfer entries)
  • Coordinating with General Ledger and Accounts Payable team to resolve open items related to Prepaids & Bank Reconciliations
  • Accounts payable invoice review & approval in Concur (Reviewing from General Ledger & Tax perspective)
  • Preparing the audit plan and ensuring the auditors & internal stakeholders are aligned to the plan, and working with them to ensure the smooth closure of the audit as per the plan.
  • Preparing India Financials including notes and workings
  • Working with consultants to prepare and file tax computation & annual tax audit forms, as well as coordinating the filing of annual forms such as SFT, FLA, MSME (half yearly), DPT, LEI, and LUT
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company information, ensuring that sensitive data is handled with the utmost discretion and security

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5 + years of experience in GST, TDS & other Indian related taxes inline with local and international regulations and laws
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Team-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills including fluency in English to a business standard
  • Currently in the Bangalore area and able to work in the office four days a week
  • Attention to detail and able to follow procedures and instructions carefully
  • Self-starting and fast learner who thrives in in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to work under pressure on time-sensitive and data intensive recurring tasks
  • Effective time management skills and able to balance multiple priorities
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding company information
