Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Executive I to support day-to-day finance operations primarily related to India financial processes, including invoicing, billing, taxation, audit support, and statutory compliance.

This role will work closely with the internal finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely invoicing, proper documentation, and compliance with Indian financial regulations. The position requires strong attention to detail, a structured approach to financial processes, and the ability to work collaboratively across internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoicing & Billing

  • Prepare and manage client invoices, billing schedules, and revenue documentation
  • Ensure accurate invoicing aligned with contracts, statements of work, and billing milestones
  • Track invoice status and coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, billing documents, and payment confirmations

Accounts Receivable & Payables

  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Support vendor invoice processing and accounts payable documentation
  • Assist with payment reconciliation and vendor communication when required

Taxation & Compliance (India)

  • Support GST compliance, including invoice validation and documentation
  • Assist with TDS tracking, filings, and reconciliation
  • Ensure financial documentation is maintained for statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with external consultants for tax filings and compliance requirements

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations
  • Support bank reconciliations and financial data validation
  • Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies
  • Assist in tracking operational expenses and budget allocations

Audit & Documentation

  • Support internal and external audit activities
  • Prepare required documentation for financial audits and compliance reviews
  • Maintain organized financial records to support audit readiness

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including HR, operations, and leadership to gather financial information
  • Support finance leadership with data preparation and reporting requirements
  • Ensure timely documentation and approvals for financial transactions

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business Administration
  • 1–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, taxation, or audit
  • Experience working with Indian finance processes and compliance frameworks
  • CA / CMA / CS intermediate or dropouts are welcome

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial operations
  • Experience with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance in India
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial data analysis)
  • Experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple financial tasks with accuracy and timeliness
  • Good communication and coordination skills

30 Days

  • Gain understanding of company finance processes and billing workflows
  • Begin supporting invoicing, documentation, and reconciliation activities
  • Familiarize with accounting systems and compliance processes

60 Days

  • Independently manage invoicing cycles and financial documentation
  • Support GST/TDS tracking and reporting processes
  • Contribute to monthly financial reporting and reconciliation tasks

90 Days

  • Maintain accurate financial records and support audit readiness
  • Ensure timely invoicing and improved billing accuracy
  • Become a reliable support resource for finance operations and compliance tasks

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Invoice Accuracy Rate (percentage of invoices generated without errors)
  • Billing Cycle Timeliness (invoices generated within agreed billing timelines)
  • Accounts Receivable Aging (reduction in overdue receivables and timely follow-ups)
  • GST & TDS Compliance Accuracy (timely and accurate tax documentation and reconciliation)
  • Audit Readiness & Documentation Quality (availability and accuracy of financial records during internal/external audits)
  • Financial Data Accuracy (accuracy of reconciliations, financial entries, and reporting)
  • Expense & Vendor Payment Processing Time (timely processing of vendor invoices and reimbursements)
  • Compliance Adherence Rate (meeting statutory and regulatory deadlines)
  • Financial Reporting Timeliness (supporting monthly closing and reporting cycles on schedule)
  • Process Improvement Contribution (identifying opportunities to streamline finance operations and improve efficiency)
