Job Description: Finance Analyst

Location: Bangalore
Reports To: Global Finance Head / CEO
Experience: 5-7 years (Please do NOT apply if you have more than 7 years of relevant experience)
Employment Type: Full-time


About the Role


The Finance Analyst will be responsible for managing India finance operations including bookkeeping, statutory compliance, payroll processing, billing, vendor payments, and financial reporting.

This is an execution-heavy role requiring strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Zoho Books.

The scope is India finance operations only (US and Singapore compliance handled separately).


Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation)
  • Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks and Zoho Books
  • Perform monthly and quarterly closures
  • Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation
  • Support audit requirements

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with:
  • GST filings and reconciliations
  • TDS calculations and returns
  • PF / ESI contributions
  • Professional Tax
  • Shops & Establishments compliance
  • MCA filings (with Company Secretary support)
  • Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants as required.

3. Payroll Management

  • Process monthly India payroll (Zoho Payroll)
  • Support US payroll coordination (Bamboo)
  • Manage statutory deductions and reimbursements
  • Handle F&F settlements
  • Support HR for payroll queries

4. Financial Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare monthly MIS
  • Assist in P&L and balance sheet schedules
  • Track expenses and cash flow
  • Support budgeting and variance analysis
  • Maintain reporting discipline

5. Vendor & Banking Coordination

  • Manage vendor invoices and payment cycles
  • Perform vendor reconciliations
  • Coordinate with banks for transactions and documentation
  • Maintain payment control processes

6. Internal Controls & Process Improvements

  • Follow established finance SOPs
  • Ensure documentation compliance
  • Support audit readiness
  • Identify areas for process improvement and automation


Qualifications & Skills


Required

  • 5–7 years of relevant finance experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in QuickBooks and Zoho Books
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • GST
    • TDS
    • PF / ESI
    • Professional Tax
  • Experience handling payroll processing
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred

  • Experience in IT / Technology / Consulting organizations
  • Experience working with a US-based parent company
  • Exposure to multi-entity reporting environments
