Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced front-end engineer, who is excited to bring their recent and battle-tested front-end building experience in consumer products to a fresh new AI startup. This person has done it before, has learned from mistakes, and is excited to build the next great global consumer AI product. We are targeting hundreds of millions of regular users all over the world.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient frontend code using React/Next.js
Select and refine the technical stack over time for scalability, both of the product and engineering team
Harden the codebase to protect from abuse
Design the CI/CD and automated testing system
Document engineering best practices and bring the team along
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge
Mentor other star frontend engineers around them
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and other services
Experience as the technical lead for a 100k+ DAU consumer facing web app
Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer or similar role with 15+ yrs of experience
Expert at React and related technologies
Passionate about performance, security, and reliability
Prolific coder, track record of laying a good foundation for others to build upon
Ability to navigate ambiguity and pivot
