About the roleAs a Frontend Platform Engineer, you’ll play a foundational role in shaping and scaling Alaan’s frontend ecosystem. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to architect frameworks, libraries, and tooling that enable our frontend teams to move faster, deliver better performance, and maintain consistency across products.
You’ll focus on building scalable design systems, improving developer experience, and leading technical initiatives that directly influence how we build user-facing experiences across our platform. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves solving platform-level problems and creating systems that empower other engineers to do their best work.
What you'll do- Partner with the product and frontend teams to architect core features and shared components that power multiple products.
- Design and evolve the frontend platform - build and maintain scalable UI frameworks, component libraries, and tooling for developer productivity.
- Refactor and improve existing systems based on evolving product needs, performance goals, and QA feedback.
- Review code and guide peers to ensure clean, maintainable, and extensible architecture.
- Drive consistency in design, accessibility, and performance standards across frontend applications.
- Collaborate with the design team to enhance our design-to-code workflows and elevate user experience.
- Stay up-to-date on modern frontend patterns and platform tooling to continuously improve our ecosystem.
- 5+ years of frontend development experience, with deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Proven experience in building scalable frontend architectures or design systems.
- Hands-on experience with Next.js, Tailwind, Radix UI, and Shadcn UI.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization, caching, and web scalability.
- Ability to architect and maintain monorepos (Turborepo experience is a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior startup or platform engineering experience is a plus.
