As a member of the electronics hardware team as a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for hands-on design and development, architecting, lab testing, and troubleshooting electronics circuits and systems. You will join a team dedicated to raising the standards for  advance electronic and contribute to their continuous improvement. You will help build robust electronics impervious to the hostility of various applicative environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of digital and analog electronics for control of high electronics systems.
  • Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing.
  • Collaborative work with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing test engineers.
  • Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of demonstrated successful experience in electrical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment (high power Li-Ion batteries is a plus)
  • Experience in supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray inductance and capacitance, placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition and EMC optimization.
  • Experience with Altium Designer for Schematic & PCB layout design
  • Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing.
  • Experience with high current power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFET’s, and Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design.
  • Familiar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools.
  • Experience in selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies).
  • Knowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for Automotive, Industrial & Residential applications.
  • Collaborate with BMS HW/FW engineering team to successfully design, validate and deploy testing tools
  • Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination.
  • Bachelor/Masters in ECE/EEE or relevant field.
