In this role, you will play a dual role in IT recruiting and HR generalist responsibilities. This individual contributor role requires a proactive, analytical thinker with a Level of detail who enjoys collaborating with multiple teams. This hybrid role is best suited for someone who is comfortable aligning with North American hours. This role is hybrid and will report into HR team in North America.

This role leads day-to-day HR operations for the India organization while managing office administration and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. The HR Manager serves as a trusted partner to employees and managers, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance processes, payroll coordination, and benefits administration. In addition, this position maintains responsibility for office facilities, vendor management, and required statutory filings for the entity.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who can balance strategic HR support with operational execution and local compliance responsibilities.

Your Role:

Human Resources Management & Recruiting

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for India, supporting employees and managers across all HR matters.
  • full employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, induction, performance cycles, and offboarding.
  • Drive employee relations support, ensuring issues are addressed promptly, professionally, and in alignment with company policy and local law.
  • Manage local policy implementation and ensure India practices align with global HR standards.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, letters, contracts, and HR documentation in compliance with Indian labor laws.
  • Partner with global HR on compensation changes, benefits, engagement initiatives, and organizational changes.
  • Coordinate with finance and payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate salary processing each month.

2. Statutory Compliance & Filings

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian employment laws and statutory requirements, including but not limited to:
    • Shops & Establishment Act
    • PF (Provident Fund)
    • ESIC
    • Gratuity Act
    • Professional Tax
    • Labour Welfare Fund
    • POSH reporting requirements
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual filings as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain statutory registers, notices, and records as mandated by law.
  • Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and government offices for inspections, filings, and renewals.
  • Track changes in legislation and recommend updates to internal processes as needed.

3. Payroll & Benefits Coordination

  • Work closely with payroll providers and finance to confirm monthly payroll inputs (new hires, terminations, bonuses, leaves, tax declarations, variable pay, etc.).
  • Support statutory deductions, tax filings, and year-end forms such as Form 16.
  • Manage benefit programs (health insurance, wellness benefits, etc.) and assist employees with queries.

4. Office & Facilities Management

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and productive working environment.
  • Manage vendor relationships (security, housekeeping, maintenance, IT, pantry services, etc.). ??? Is someone doing this now?
  • Coordinate procurement of office supplies, equipment, and services. Who is doing this now?
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building-related requirements.

5. Company Culture & Engagement

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and site events.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture consistent with company values.
  • Serve as a resource for employees seeking assistance or guidance.
