We are seeking a Senior Data Access Engineer to implement modern access framework globally at Ericsson. You will play a pivotal role in delivering an enterprise Data Access Framework, enabling secure, compliant, and model-driven data access. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how data is accessed to unlock value while meeting regulatory, contractual and security requirements.
What You Will Do
• Contribute towards the design, development, and deployment of an enterprise-wide Data Access Framework powered by granular, context based, policy- driven data access across the organization.• Define, translate, and operationalize access control models and policies (PBAC/RBAC/ABAC) that align with regulatory and contractual requirements, turning business needs into automated access decisions.• Lead design, development and deployment of capabilities like Access Policy Builder, Store and Policy Engine.• Define architecture in relation to Policy Information Point (PIP), Policy Enforcement Point (PEP), Policy Administration Point (PAP), Policy Decision Point (PDP)• Leverage and contribute to tooling and platforms (e.g., OpenPolicyAgent, TrustLogix, Styra, Azure) to automate and scale provisioning, governance, and monitoring of data access.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Business & IT to identify access requirements, formulate technical specifications, architecture and deliver scalable data access solutions.• Manage complex data access programs from concept through deployment, ensuring on-time delivery and measurable business impact.• Drive continuous improvement by establishing best practices, processes, and governance around data access management, including risk and compliance considerations.
The Skills You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience.• Minimum 7+ years specialized experience in IT Access Management and policy/rule definition, transforming natural language requirements into enforceable rules in SQL/Rego, aligned with regulatory and contractual commitments.• Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts, including Identity and Access Management, RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, Purpose-Based Access Control, and rule-based access control.• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying automated, scalable PBAC solutions to support provisioning flows.• High proficiency with identity and access management technology and tooling such as Access in Applications, DBs, Cloud Platforms and API, PIP, PDP, PEP, PAP, OAuth 2.0, Open Policy Agent, Immuta, TrustLogix, Styra, and Azure EntraID.• Ability to drive enterprise-wide change and collaborate effectively across distributed teams with experience with Agile Project Delivery• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
