Information Security Engineering Senior Manager – Critical Infrastructure

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Information Security Engineering Senior Manager - Critical Infrastructure In this role, you will: Manage and develop Infrastructure Engineers in roles with moderate complexity and risk Lead project teams to support network and communication implementations Ensure the Information Technology infrastructure is always functioning as effectively as possible Oversee Information Technology infrastructure across multiple locations Identify and recommend opportunities for internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals Work with the networking and software engineering groups Lead the efforts to maintain and develop Information Technology systems and networks companywide Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Infrastructure Engineers to meet moderate to high risk deliverables Make decisions and resolve issues regarding infrastructure to meet business objectives Interpret and develop policies and procedures Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers Lead team to achieve objectives Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Infrastructure Engineering Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy Required Qualifications: 7+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 3+ years of management or leadership experience Desired Qualifications: 7+ years of leadership/management experience specific to Information Security 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams performing scripting and automation. 5+ years of advanced information security architecture, design, or consulting experience 3+ years of experience with Agile practices and frameworks such as SCRUM and KANBAN as well as Confluence and JIRA toolsets. Experience transforming to and/or managing business and operational functions in a product model construct, which would include participation in product roadmap planning and feature/backlog prioritization. Strong knowledge of DDI, Authentication Services, PKI, hardware security modules (HSMs) and/or security appliances Strong knowledge, understanding and prior experiences with regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment. Practical experience building security solutions through abstraction layer and automation practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skill Job Expectation BE or equivalent with 18+ years of experience, including at least 5+ years in senior management roles leading large engineering teams within a large enterprise, preferably in the Banking and Financial Services sector. 7+ years of strategic technology leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education. 7+ years of experience building, leading, managing, and mentoring high-performing engineering or operations teams. 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing engineering teams focused on Encryption, Key Management, DDI, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or related information protection technologies. Ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels, including senior and executive leadership. Lead a technology organization of 50+ engineers and managers delivering critical infrastructure engineering and support services. Drive talent management, stakeholder management, strategic planning, operational excellence, process improvement, and financial management. Collaborate with U.S.-based technology leaders to implement initiatives aligned with team extension and product operating models. Define and manage business plans, proposals, and strategic initiatives while identifying opportunities for efficiency, automation, and innovation. Promote effective communication and collaboration across globally distributed teams and time zones. Proactively manage risks, deliverables, and operational issues through effective controls and escalation processes. Oversee the end-to-end asset lifecycle, including patch compliance, vulnerability management, and configuration drift management. Build and maintain strong relationships with hardware vendors and service providers. Deliver commitments aligned with enterprise strategic priorities. Develop actionable roadmaps, execution plans, and product delivery strategies. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in product delivery practices and operational processes. Establish risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives. Develop hiring strategies for engineering, operational, and administrative talent. Foster a culture of talent development aligned with business objectives and organizational strategy. Collaborate with and influence professionals at all levels, including senior managers and executives. Lead teams to achieve business objectives and key results. Build and sustain a strong risk culture through partnership with all lines of defense across the enterprise. Lead and manage projects, products, strategic plans, and other operational initiatives on behalf of senior leadership. Lead teams responsible for securing and managing critical infrastructure services, including DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP Management), Authentication Services, Encryption, Tokenization, Key Management, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in Information Technology, Information Security, and infrastructure management, with strong knowledge of DDI, PKI, Authentication, Encryption, Tokenization, and Key Management technologies. uild and nurture high-performing global teams while partnering closely with Technology Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Lines of Business to deliver information protection products and business priorities. Oversee the allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and aligned with strategic objectives.
