As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you develop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Through this work you begin to apply your proficiency in a single application or technical methodology.
Job responsibilities

  • Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met
  • Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion
  • Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters
  • Escalates issues to appropriate leaders
  • Develops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
  • General knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and moderate proficiency in relevant scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
  • Provides technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation, and delivery.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of Cloud, Virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages.
  • Experience with Third Party Vendor Products/ Software knowledge of J-Series and L-Series Operating Systems, TMF, RDF, DRNet, IR Prognosis, MOMI, GoldenGate, Expand, NetBatch, Control-M, ETINET, NDM, QTOS, IBM MQ, IPSEC.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery or Sustained Resiliency (Planning, Execution, and Implementation) of HPE NonStop System.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge on Installation, Configuration of the HPE NonStop Operating System, OS Upgrade, HPE NonStop Sub-Systems Using DSM/SCM and SCF.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge on Performance Management and tuning, using Measure and Viewsys.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge on HPE NonStop System Backup and Restore (Recovery) Management (MEDIACOM, DSMTC and ETI-NET, BACKPACK, Data Domain).
  • Hands on experience on HPE NonStop Operating System Configuration & system database Management using Tandem's Distributed Systems, Configuration Manager, and (DSM/SCM) Software.
