Job Description

As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope. You will l be a member of Network Engineering team, sharing responsibility for leading and engaging in the architecture, evaluation and standardization of emerging network communication technologies, products and solutions.
Job responsibilities

  • Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
  • Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
  • Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
  • Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
  • Partners with business, product and architecture teams to define Next Gen SDWAN Network requirements and capabilities
  • Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
  • Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
  • Provide regular updates with respect to progress on tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement project plans within budgetary, schedule and resource constraints
  • Demonstrate ability to articulate technical design & architecture in clear, concise, and understandable terms to the stakeholders


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
  • Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
  • Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
  • Hands on experience is product design ( including creating functional architecture, detailed HDL, LLD), test plan & execution (creating test plan, test cases, use cases) and implementation working closely with all relevant stakeholder
  • Hands-on systems-level understanding and an ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies quickly
  • Application of Security/Cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services that support business requirements
  • Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: SD-WAN, Networking & Routing, Network Automation, Network Virtualization
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands on and well proven SDWAN network engineering experience.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and tools.
  • SDWAN certification from industry recognized organizations is desirable
  • Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, plus proven relationship building abilities
