Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (RBAI) is a 100% subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH . Established in 2009, in Naganathapura - Bengaluru, RBAI is primarily focused in manufacturing electronic products for the automotive sector. RBAI has consistently added an average of one product every year resulting in a wide range of products comprising – Engine Control Units (ECU) for both 4W and 2W, Body Control Modules (BCM), ECUs for ABS, DC-DC Converters, iTraMS (Intelligent communication control unit) to name a few. RBAI also produces products for eMobility like MCU (Motor control Unit), C-Box (Communication Box), VCUs (Vehicle Control Unit), Central gateway modules and is geared up for other futuristic products. RBAI with its diverse portfolio, not only caters to local markets, but also exports products to all major global customers. The Naganathapura Plant (NhP1) is seen as a benchmark in Operational Excellence in AE and Bosch India , using an integrated approach of Bosch Production System (BPS) and I4.0. Job Description

  • To drive all lead plant related activities with regards (and not limited) to the following.
  • a. Represent TEF7 lead plant in Project team. Responsible as main communication window between project team and plant TEF7.
  • b. Responsible for test station design planning for HW and SW (Refer point 2).
  • c. Responsible for driving tester setup and test specification implementation in production to meet all project milestone (refer point 2 and 4)
  • d. Coordinating the purchasing process activities for the testers (refer point 3).
  • e. To drive competency/training activities and maintenance plan on tester for plant TEF7 (refer point 5)
  • f. To plan and coordinate tester related launch support activities at plants.
  • g. To define and coordinate all processes for change management, communication channels and synchronization activities between plant and lead plant.
  • 2. To plan, define and setup the test stations for product based on concept provided by PTE team. This task includes the following:
  • a. Lead the project tester concept study with PTE, Centre of Competence(CoC) and ENG
  • b. To plan and design overall tester as per concept defined.
  • c. Coordinate the Setup, Commissioning and Release the test system according to Test system Release Procedure in plants.
  • d. To train and coach maintenance plan, analysis tool of RCCA activities.
  • e. Ensure all documentation are available. i.e Test system setup guideline, test station and fixture wiring and design documentation.
  • 3. To manage procurement plan with involvement of central purchasing, GS partner and supplier. Monitor and track supplier performance evaluation and ensure supplier’s deliver according to the defined specification.
  • a. To plan project tester budget and procurement activity (refer point 3).
  • b. To track and ensure tester cost is within the planned budget.
  • c. On time delivery of testers to the production line according to project milestone (includes all equipment, hardware interface and mechanical jig and fixture).
  • 4. Responsible on full test implementation according to test procedure defined in Test Specification(PAV) by the PTE team and achieve defined test coverage.
  • a. Ensure software download, alignment and calibration process (such as flashing of memory, tuner alignment/ Calibration) is as defined in PAV.
  • b. To review and communicate plant requirements during test specification definition activities with PAV developers.
  • c. To drive implementation of production test software as defined in PAV for each milestone.
  • 5. To plan with the plants on the needs for maintenance of testers
  • a. To provide competency plan for plants and setup training for tester specific topics.
  • b. Monitor and guide on problem solving process for testers and to guide and coach engineer in technical issue.
  • 6. General support on the following:
  • a. To define and coordinate on all change management activities. i.e SW release, NEW PN setup, test improvement and HW changes.
  • b. To coordinate improvement activities on test time reduction and OEE/ FPY activities in order to meet the tester performance KPI’s.
  • 7. Any other related duties assigned by superior.

Qualifications

5 to 8 Years Test Engineering experience from Electronics Manufacturing Industry .

Preferable from Automotive Electronics Industry.

BE/B.Tech – in Electrical or Electronics
