Job Description SummaryAs a Research Intern in the Mechanics and Design Organization, you will work with the Research & Engineering teams in the design, analysis, testing, and validation of systems/ components aerospace turbomachinery systems. You will have opportunity to learn hands-on and contribute to development of creative and impactful technologies for improved aero engine components. Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Ideal Candidate:

Should be pursuing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Structural DynamicsRequired Qualifications:

• Pursuing B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Structural DynamicsStrong fundamentals, domain knowledge and analytical skillsExecution mindset, self-driven with a sense of urgencyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills in a global team environment

Desired Qualification:

• Shown expertise in the fields of structural mechanics, dynamics, vibration and damping or in the areas of composites modeling and characterization
• Good track record through top-notch publications and experience of working in applied research labs in the above areas
• Proficiency in simulation software (e.g. ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, ADAMS)
• Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learnTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively
