Role Description
The ITAO is responsible for the entire application lifecycle management of a single or multiple application instances. The ITAO must ensure that the applications are enhanced and maintained in accordance with the Bank’s IT Policy requirements.

Your key responsibilities
- Engage and manage multiple main stakeholders to ensure regulatory application compliance, smooth operations, and a sound development lifecycle. (Including Business, Security, Development, Test (QA), IT Support, Finance, external Vendors and Architecture)
- Ensure the application is compliant with the companies IT policies, based on regulatory requirements
- Be accountable for a high service availability and stability, while continuously managing projects for maintenance or enhancements of the application
- Raise tickets and priorities these for the development team as a stakeholder in an AGILE-SCRUM environment
- Support further development by ensuring availability and stability of all relevant environment stages (INT, UAT (User Acceptance Test), PROD)
- Live and facilitate a DevOps approach by setting up monitoring, configuring deployment-automation tools, preparing software packages, raising, and implementing changes, as well as managing certificates and software licenses
- Implement Configuration and Software Changes on Test and Production Environments
- Analyse Log-Files
- Security Patching (e.g., JDK, Tomcat, WebLogic)
- Fix infrastructure-related Security Issues
- Initiate Change Requests
- Certificate Renewals
- Implement Software Configuration Changes
- Monitor technical Performance of Applications (Response Times, Error Rates, Memory/Storage Usage) and engage Issues
Your skills and experience
- Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders. Ability to create and naturally maintain good business relationships with all stakeholders
- Particularly good presentation and communication skills in English (additional German knowledge is a plus)
- Highly organised and self-driven worker with strong analytical skills
- ITIL Processes (Incident-, Problem-, Change-Management)
- Professional with >2 years of work experience in a global IT organisation. Preferable already with hands-on experience in Software Development, Governance, Project Management, Application Management or Operations
- Work experience in AGILE organizations is a plus, as well as familiarity with SCRUM
- A strong technical level of understanding for some products/technologies below is highly welcomed:
- Microservices, Docker, RedHat OpenShift
- Coding languages and Frameworks (Java, Spring Boot, NodeJs)
- Application/web servers (WebLogic Server, Tomcat)
- Database technology and scripting (Oracle)
- Unix (Logfile Analysis, Configuration)
- Communication and encryption protocols (SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), TLS (Transport Layer Security))
- Networking (firewalls, load balancers, etc.)
- Agile delivery tools (Jira & Confluence)
- Splunk or similar solutions, e.g., ELK
- CI/CD toolchain (UCD, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Artifactory)
