Your role in the team

The core purpose of this role is to work closely and collaboratively with senior Tech stakeholders to create, develop and deliver category management and strategic sourcing to IG Technology to deliver value and savings to IG Technology.

You will create, develop and deliver the implementation of procurement planning and category management to IG Technology with the express intent of delivering reduced vendor costs, increasing process efficiency to better serve our customers, mitigating risk and improving how we monitor, report and communicate the value of vendor management & procurement work.

In order to do this you would need to define, gain agreement to and implement strategic sourcing and Category plans (including a pipeline of procurement opportunities and robust value and savings reporting) for IG Technology which includes Software, Hardware, SaaS and PaaS. As a part of this role you would continue to develop and maintain Category strategies and plans in conjunction with the team and business partners. These plans would contain simple and complex opportunities.
 

What you’ll do

• Develop category strategies, category plans and commercial solutions aligned to "best in class" procurement methodology in total collaboration with senior stakeholders

• Develop “bought into” pipelines of work to enable delivery of each category plan

• Develop a data driven analysis to appropriately understand market analytics and category dynamics, these include Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models, comparative analysis, spend analysis, trend analysis, risk analysis, benchmarking etc.

• Ensure all financial, risk, strategic and commercial considerations are optimised through the use of best in class strategies and deep market knowledge

What you’ll need for this role

• 5years+ in a Sourcing environment with focus on Technology 

• Proven track record of category specific delivery and achievements

• CIPS qualification

• Experience in financial services industry or ICT

• Global technology related sourcing experience.
