Java Technical Lead with AI

Responsibilities

• Tailor client-focused solutions: You will participate in Discovery Sessions and Collaboration Proposals, ensuring that every engagement is strategically aligned with the client's objectives
• Master cutting-edge technologies: Leverage your expertise in Java, Spring AI, and Microservices to develop and maintain scalable, high-performance applications, ensuring you stay at the forefront of innovation in the retail industry
• Technical leadership: Take ownership of project kick-offs, while also defining tailored Generative AI-driven solutions
• Deliver high-quality code: Defining both architecture and quality standards that ensure scalable and impactful solutions
• Advance technical expertise: Expand your skills while developing cutting edge Generative AI powered software solutions
• Agile team collaboration: As a key player in this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients to understand their business needs, while also assembling and mentoring teams

Qualifications

Must have:

• 7+ years of experience with Java
• Good knowledge of Java, Java ecosystem frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, associated patterns (e.g. SOLID principles, Design Patterns), API driven development
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Generative AI-based solutions and services, primarily covering Google (Vertex AI, Gemini) and OpenAI offerings (OpenAI API, Function Calling), along with expertise in RAG-based solutions, vector databases, and embeddings
• Proven experience in Cloud development, especially with Google Cloud Platform
• Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge and understanding of multi-agent architectural projects and Generative AI-favored development frameworks such as Java or Python
• Previous experience with sales activities such as RFP’s, technical proposal creation and presentation, and discovery sessions

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD and deployment platforms (Kubernetes, Docker or OpenShift)
• Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python
• Knowledge of non-relational databases (MongoDB)
