Job Description Short Summary 

We are seeking a Data Science Team Lead to lead a team of talented data science consultants in a Professional Services environment who can help them grow and maximize their potential. The role focuses on team leadership, technical oversight, and supporting solution deployments for customers.  

Key Responsibilities 

Team Leadership & People Management 

• Lead and mentor a team of data science specialists, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

• Identify individual and team development needs, facilitating training opportunities and career growth. 

• Provide guidance to help team members leverage their strengths and develop in key areas. 

• Ensure a positive team environment by managing expectations, resolving conflicts, and building trust. 

• Oversee all performance management processes, including annual performance reviews, regular 1:1 discussion, annual goal setting 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams 

Technical Expertise & Contributions 

• Background in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data engineering, coupled with leadership experience 

• Ensure high-quality deliverables and best practices in data engineering 

• Act as a Data Science Expert in selected projects, implement machine learning models and statistical analyses to drive business insights and decision-making. 

• Represent the team as a subject matter expert in internal & client meetings 

• Build relationships and support business development 

• Stay updated on ML and Data Engineering trends, proposing innovative solutions 

Knowledge and skills, we are looking for: 

• Proven experience in Data Engineering/data modelling with expertise in data infrastructure, pipelines, and processing frameworks. 

• Communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders. 

• Experience applying existing models and algorithms within customer solutions (model development not required). 

• Proficient in using Power BI or similar tools for data visualization. 

• Understanding of business workflows and processes, with the ability to align data solutions to business needs. 

• Familiarity with system integration is a plus. 

• Knowledge of SaaS/Cloud environments is an advantage.

• Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.

• Fluent in English and Polish (German or French is a plus).
