Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead - Business Development to oversee a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) in driving customer acquisition, pipeline growth, and regional revenue targets across the North America market. As a Sales Development Manager, you will manage a team that is responsible for generating interest, qualifying leads, and nurturing prospects through multi-channel interactions (phone, email, etc.) to successfully hand-off opportunities to the sales teams.

You will also be responsible for strategizing and executing initiatives, supporting team performance, and ensuring continuous improvement in our sales development processes. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering results. You will work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to meet targets while fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of Business Development Managers to achieve daily and monthly lead generation, qualification, and hand-off goals in the North America market.

  • Oversee the development and execution of sales outreach strategies across multiple communication channels (phone, email, social media, etc.).

  • Ensure your team effectively assesses, qualifies, and prioritizes a large volume of inbound and outbound leads to build a strong sales pipeline.

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations to design and execute impactful campaigns that resonate with prospects and meet regional goals.

  • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to ensure each team member reaches their individual and team goals.

  • Analyze sales development metrics, provide coaching and feedback, and report on team performance to upper management.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to continuously refine processes, tools, and resources for more effective lead generation and conversion.

  • Drive team performance by setting clear expectations, providing consistent support, and encouraging continuous professional development.

  • Advocate for the company's brand and culture, instilling a customer-centric mindset within your team.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline status reporting to leadership, with actionable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or lead generation, with at least 2+ years in a team leadership role, preferably in the North American market.

  • Proven track record in managing and mentoring a high-performing sales development team, including experience with pipeline management and sales coaching.

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based CRM tools and sales processes, with a customer-first mindset.

  • Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets and business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally, with senior leadership and clients.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

  • Strong knowledge of the North American market, its trends, challenges, and business culture.

  • A positive, resilient, and results-oriented leader with a passion for growing people and processes.

  • Experience with sales analytics and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is highly desirable.
