About Role:
We are in the process of improving Haleon’s MLOps maturity as part of our AI strategy. This role will lead the expansion of our ML Ops team in the GCC while transforming our ways of working and working with our Data Platforms and Architecture team to deliver a platform that enables Full ML Automated Operations. You will have a strong understanding of production systems, CI/CD pipelines, experiment tracking and version control. You will have lead a team of ML Engineers at a global organization, and understand the importance of model reliability in a regulated and publicly listed organization. Haleon’s AI portfolio includes products in supply chain, manufacturing, marketing, commercial, R&D, finance and HR, you will be excited to learn new skills and work with domain experts to deliver excellent results.
You and your team will collaborate with multiple partners and stakeholders including data scientists,
data engineers, data platforms, product owner, architects, analysts and business users to deliver excellent results. Haleon’s AI portfolio covers a wide range of modelling techniques ranging from forecasting and optimizations on structured data to NLP, computer vision and generative AI techniques on unstructured data. You and your team will be at the forefront of exploring and exploiting new AI ML methods, responsibly and with impact. You will be excited to learn and build a culture of learning in your team.
Haleon has a mature partner network, and solutions are often developed in partnership with 3rd
parties or by leveraging and finetuning 3rd party solutions. We also work across markets with ranging
regulatory and consumer expectations. You will be flexible to deliver the best solution at hand, and identify commonalities for scaling where possible.
This role will be at the core of Haleon’s AI transformation. As we build and scale increasingly critical and impactful solutions across pillars, including commercial, manufacturing, consumer .
This is a lead role, and as such will be required to scale a team while building a thriving culture reflective of the global data science team. As part of operations, there will also need to strong collaboration between a number of internal teams both in Digital & Tech and the wider organization.
Key responsibilities
Lead hiring and building a great pool of Machine Learning Engineers for your team in GCC IN andsupport the recruitment activities of other data & technology functions.
Motivate & coach colleagues within the Machine Learning Engineering team to help them develop technical excellence.
Define ML standards as part of the AI leadership team. Contribute to all aspects of the Data Science Project Lifecycle, with a focus on scalable operation and productionisation.
Coordinate and manage competing priorities across Haleon’s portfolio of AI
projects.
Provide leadership and guidance on the development and monitoring of ongoing data engineering pipelines and the delivery of ML models from prototypes to production.
Own and define the key performance indicators (KPIs) and diagnostics to measure and monitor AI model performance against business goals
Deliver Responsible AI at scale with best-in-class implementation of model explainability, reliability, security, documentation and bias mitigation in line with Haleon’s Responsible AI policy and standards.
Deliver best in-class management of production cost and AI sustainability across Haleon’sAI portfolio.
Build and maintain strong partner relationships for 3rd party supported ML Ops at Haleon.
Minimum Experience: 13+ Yrs
5 years in an MLE role, 2 years in leadership
Preferred Experience:
8 years in MLE role, 4 of which in leadership
Minimum Education:
BSc in a Maths, Science, Computational Engineering or a similar scientific/ engineering discipline.
