Job Description

  1. Drive QA Automation and DevOps/SRE Practices

    • Lead the design, implementation, and management of DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines.

    • Enhance DevOps/SRE practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  2. Shift-Left Automation Strategies: Integrate testing early in the development process through shift-left strategies.

  3. Framework and Capability Building

    • Develop and maintain QA automation frameworks and CI/CD integrations.

    • Support code build and deployment processes.

  4. DevSecOps Responsibilities

    • Implement security automation and orchestrate end-to-end test automation.

    • Define and optimize release, rollout, and rollback strategies.

    • Manage software releases and automate monitoring.

  5. Test Planning and Execution

    • Create and maintain robust test plans and strategies for complex projects.

    • Perform testing gap analysis and derive comprehensive test cases.

    • Update and execute scripts to automate repetitive tasks.

  6. Automated and Non-Functional Testing

    • Write and update automated tests using Grab Test Frameworks.

    • Conduct performance testing to ensure system scalability and reliability.

    • Perform load testing, stress testing, and security testing.

  7. Quality Improvement and Bug Mitigation

    • Suggest improvements beyond manual testing.

    • Strategize to mitigate bugs before production.

    • Ensure 0 defect delivery by integrating rigorous QA processes and continuous improvements.

  8. Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Collaborate with engineering, platform, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

    • Liaise with stakeholders to address CI/CD challenges.

  9. Performance Monitoring and Optimization

    • Monitor and analyze DevOps and QA performance metrics.

    • Make data-driven optimizations.

  10. Test Case Reviews and Documentation

    • Organize and participate in test case reviews, including cross-team reviews.

    • Document quality control processes, testing methods, and automation approaches.

  11. Team Mentoring: Mentor team members on best practices in DevOps, QA, and automation.

Qualifications


  1. Preferable about 10 years of experience leading QA automation in fast moving globally diverse teams

  2. Education: Bachelor's of Engineering or Masters in Computer Applications

  3. Technical Expertise

    • Thorough knowledge of system scalability, performance, extensibility, reliability, and maintainability.

    • Familiarity with all aspects of non-functional testing (e.g., load, performance, security).

    • Expertise in setting up complex test environments.

  4. Tool Proficiency

    • Proficiency in GitLab and other DevOps tools.

    • Strong knowledge of automation testing frameworks and tools.

  5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  6. Collaboration and Leadership

    • Ability to collaborate with PMs, EMs, design, and business teams.

    • Proven ability to lead QA and DevOps teams, scaling processes across multiple teams.

  7. Experience with security automation and DevSecOps practices.

  8. Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
