Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Automation Engineer with 5 to 9 years of experience to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation frameworks, functional testing, and QA processes, with hands-on experience in WebdriverIO/Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Mocha framework. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using WebdriverIO/Playwright, Mocha, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Perform functional testing and ensure comprehensive test coverage for web applications.
Implement and optimize QA processes, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts in Scrum ceremonies to align on requirements and deliverables.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with teams to resolve issues promptly.
Drive continuous improvement in automation frameworks and testing strategies.
Conduct API testing using Postman and validate integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in WebdriverIO/Playwright, Mocha, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Solid programming knowledge and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
QA Expertise:
Solid understanding of functional testing, QA methodologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
