Lead Software Engineer - Generative AI

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer
In this role, you will:

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional Software Engineering experience, with demonstrated leadership in analytics or data-intensive systems
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot within enterprise, analytics-driven environments
• Strong experience designing service-oriented or microservices architectures for analytics platforms
• Proven hands-on experience with Oracle databases, including analytics-heavy queries, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Experience using Redis or similar in-memory technologies for caching analytics results or intermediate computations
• Strong understanding of:
  • Analytics platform architecture and data-driven system design
  • High-throughput, low-latency system design
  • Fault tolerance, resiliency, and scaling strategies for compute-intensive workloads
  • Logging, monitoring, and observability in analytics pipelines
• Experience operating within controlled release, CI/CD, and change-management frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across teams and functions in a regulated environment
• Exposure to C# / .NET and Python is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-native analytics platforms, containerization, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / OCP).
• Familiarity with event-driven or streaming architectures supporting analytics ingestion.

Job Expectations:

• We are open for both the locations - Hyderabad or Bangalore and will be required to work in the office as per organizations In Office Adherence / Return To Office (RTO)
