Lead Software Engineer

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Consumer Technology for Platform Team.
In this role, you will:

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Covers jobs which provides system support for technical issues & initiatives related to large-scale applications, Platform Engineering like databases, SRE/Observability, Automation, Autosys or related batch job on daily operation work. Additional knowledge on MLops, AIops.

Job Expectations:
Proven experience in support or development globally distributed cloud SaaS services with right level of team handling experience.

• Proven ability to design, deliver, measure, and manage big cloud environments with high-growth SaaS systems with 99.99%+ SLA
• Strong understanding of SLO, SLI, Error Budgets and their implementation into SRE areas.
• Excellent understanding of SDLC, patching, releases and software development at scale, Continuous Integration and Delivery approaches.
• Experience with automation/configuration management using either Terraform, Ansible, or an equivalent
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services including micro services
• Experience with packaging and deployment tools across clusters using UCD or other relevant tools.
• Understands the difference between waterfall, agile/Scrum, Kanban and any other project management tools to effectively strike the right balance.
• Experience with any cloud technologies (PCF/ VmWare/ Azure/ AWS/ GCP) is a must
• Experience with Monitoring tools like Appdynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, BigPanda, ELK etc..
• Experience in SQL or non-SQL DB like Oracle, MS-SQL, Mongo DB, etc.
• Experience in ITSM tools like Service now, BMC remedy, Jira, etc..
• Experience in Version control system like Github, Azure TFS, or any equivalent.
