Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking architectural designs to implementation, and maintenance of our SaaS Platform Infrastructure. This will leverage your experience in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS models. In this role, you will work with Blue Yonder platforms that are core to the Blue Yonder cloud ecosystem. As a infrastructure software engineer, you will work closely with the global cloud architecture group, product managers, product engineering, cloud operations, and security teams with the result executing build and support functions of architectural blueprints that align to the successful enablement of service offerings meeting functional, operational and automation objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and utilize automation and orchestration tools to enable Design to Build of infrastructure components and services in a public cloud (preferably Azure) and transition/streamline to operations and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices.
- Assist in building and monitoring of Monitors dashboards to ensure maintainenance, health and performance of infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Work as an integral part of a cross-functional engineering team, collaborating with architecture teams enabling disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Perform regular system audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements.
- Maintain documentation related to infrastructure configuration, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure our infrastructure remains cutting-edge and secure.
- Provide support for infrastructure-related incidents and requests, acting as a point of escalation when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 6+ years overall IT industry experience
- Minimum of 3+ years in a cloud engineering role aligning infrastructure as code principles
- Proven experience in deployment and automation of infrastructure as code using automation technologies (e.g. Terraform, Powershell, Crossplane, Argo CD)
- Proven experience in infrastructure management, including servers, networking, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure (preferred), AWS).
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., PaaS and IaaS components ) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, Prometheus, Grafana) and logging solutions (e.g.,Azure Log Analytics ELK stack, Splunk).
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect/Network Architect, CompTIA Network+).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
