Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Speciality Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
- Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
- Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
- Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Mentor less experienced software engineers
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Experience with programming languages Golang and Rust.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Kanban Agile methodology.
- Prior SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) experience.
- Experience in Systems Engineering and Technology Architecture, or equivalent background gained through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Blockchain platforms, including Cosmos SDK, CometBFT, and Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) Protocol.
- Strong expertise across multiple blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, and Solana.
- Practical experience in smart contract development using Go and Rust.
- Deep understanding of Distributed Systems, Cryptographic principles, Consensus algorithms, Token standards, and API design & REST integrations.
- 5+ years of experience working with relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle, MS SQL, and MongoDB.
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy, and/or Harness.
- 5+ years of experience with application performance and monitoring tools including Grafana, Splunk, or AppDynamics.
- Hands-on experience in private cloud environments (PCF/OCP) and/or public cloud environments (GCP).
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical capability to perform independent ticket analysis and resolution.
- Good understanding of Infrastructure Service Management processes (Incident / Change / Problem Management) with hands-on experience using ServiceNow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow established processes.
- Ability to assess and recommend permanent fixes to enhance application stability and resiliency.
- Capability to perform Root Cause Analysis, prepare accurate recaps of issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience preparing complex reports and dashboards for leadership review.
- High attention to detail with the ability to make quick, accurate decisions and escalate critical issues appropriately.
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to lead teams through technical challenges.
