What you will do?Utilize our people talents to produce at the pace of customer demand using optimal resources achieving lowest cost with Six Sigma quality across the entire Value Stream.Responsible for implement the correct balancing of the production lines, ensuring that the Production area can meet the volumes on time, quantity and quality required, as well as planning the number of direct personnel, according to the client's requirement, to ensure the efficiency of the operation, deliveries to the client, generating the calculated standard hours.Responsible to implement Ergonomics, Safety, Industrial Engineering Standards, Headcount Analysis.Contribute to quality, productivity & delivery, and Cost.How you will do it?

  • Participate in risk management, which includes the identification of failure modes, hazards and environmental aspects, their respective assessment and the definition and implementation of controls.
  • Participate in incident and nonconformity investigations as well as in the determination of the necessary corrective actions.
  • Active participation in plant programs such as SafeTrack observations, suggestion box, Employee Idea System, LPA and 6S audits.
  • Lead cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow, and Cost.
  • Participate in the training program of the plant attending trainings as scheduled and, when required, acting as internal instructor.
  • Perform every activity considering the requirements of the Integrated Management System to contribute to the achievement of its objectives and to fulfill the Quality Policy and the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.

  • Develop a capacity study by line, area, plant based on customer requirements, (Plant Layout, areas, lines depending on customer requirements.)
  • CT Analysis of operations people. Or analysis of movements (Motions).
  • Responsible for monitoring the main productive offenders to coordinate activities that reduce the negative impact on the indicators (PRODUCTIVITY).
  • Ability to calculate efficiencies in machines and production lines.
  • Analysis of losses in productive areas.
  • Definition and calculation of shifts required, the duration of the shift, Std Hours/ good hours, the total hours of production and the number of workers needed (direct), based on the daily production required.
  • Determine the performance index, considering the composition of the direct and indirect presence of labor, and the related percent incidence losses in good hours.
  • Evaluate the actual performance (efficiency rate, losses, indirect ...)
  • Savings of 350,000 USD per year. (Lead with other departments)
  • Implementation of Continuous Improvement Projects using the A3 tool and Hoshin Kanri.
  • Understand, promote and implement JCMS 2.0 criteria & Assist in the gathering of JCMS Assessment data.
  • Apply the essential behaviors of Organizational Health to be a model of this culture and be an agent of change within the company.
  • Follow the rules and procedures of the company, as well as follow the codes of ethics, conduct, clothing, and the protocols of the new normality.
  • Value Stream Analysis (Current and Future State Value Stream Mapping)
  • Lead cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow, and Cost.
  • Applies DMAIC methodology and Lean tools to lead improvement project at all type of processes.
  • Collaborate with C.I. Manager to assess the Current state of the plant’s Operations; Develop Future State vision and implementation plan.
  • Assist in locating Best-in-Class Operations processes, and then introduce them to the plant.
  • Support other C.I. initiatives, including best practice implementation, while striving to improve Business Metrics
  • Using standard tracking (CI TRAC) and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality and savings goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop a plant C.I. Roadmap, bridging business metrics gaps with either:  1. Just Do It improvements, 2. Six Sigma projects, or 3. Lean Implementation projects.
  • Assist the Continuous Improvement Manager in any strategic initiative that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant.
  • Provides basic Six Sigma and/or Lean training to project team members.
  • Reports on project progress to Champion and other appropriate leadership levels at least monthly.
  • Identifies and brings forward new project opportunities to Champions.

What are we looking for?

  • Professional degree, preferably in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
  • Balancing lines knowledge, Kaizen, continuous improvement, ergonomic analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of Mfg 4.0
  • Basic statistical knowledge and ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.
  • Preferred experience in SPC and General Manufacturing Processes.
  • Computer skills and mastery of the use and application of programs such as: Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • English language; Oral, Verbal and Written Intermediate preferably (80%).
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Highly effective leadership and program management skills, able to manage both vertically and horizontally.
  • Be Proactive and Analytical Thinking
  • Extensive knowledge in Balancing and Timing (Yamazumi)
  • AutoCAD / Visio / Solid Works Knowledge.
  • Experience in the execution of improvement projects.
  • Experience in design ergonomic and Lean workstations.
  • Effective Leadership – Ability to influence others without authority to achieve results.
