Manager, Automation QA​

We’re looking for a Manager, Automation QA to lead and work closely with development, product management, and QA teams to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks. Additionally, you will collaborate with the support team to address field issues reported by customers, provide effective solutions, and improve the test suite based on these issues. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through robust automation strategies.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Automation Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive automation testing strategy for both UI and API layers. 

• Framework Development: Design and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Python for test scripts, utilizing Selenium for UI testing and Postman and Rest Assured for API testing. 

• AI based Framework knowledge: Good to have AI tools which help in bringing AI capability in our Existing framework. 

• Test Execution: Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects. Ensure high test coverage and maintain test data. 

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, identify testing needs, and deliver high-quality software. 

• Field Issue Resolution: Collaborate with the support team to address field issues reported by customers, provide timely and effective solutions, and enhance the product's reliability. 

• Test Suite Improvement: Continuously improve the test suite based on feedback and issues reported from the field to prevent future occurrences. 

• Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance their automation skills. 

• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve test processes, tools, and methodologies to keep up with industry best practices. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 

• Minimum of 10 + years of experience in QA with a focus on automation, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.   

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test script development. 

• Strong experience in test automation using tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. 

• Extensive experience with Selenium for UI automation. 

• Strong knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured. 

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). 

• Oversee the end-to-end testing lifecycle, ensuring the continuous improvement of test automation coverage and execution. 

• Conduct performance testing, load testing, and security testing, as needed, to ensure the robustness and scalability of applications. 

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

• Experience working with support teams to resolve field issues and improve products based on customer feedback. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Framework Development 

• Hand-on Automation using Java Selenium and API  

• Able to Guide team as and when needed.
