Dynamics of the Role
This is an exciting time in TransUnion CIBIL. With investments in our people, technology and new business markets, we are redefining the role and purpose of a credit bureau.
The candidate shall perform onboarding, re-credentialing, and regulatory oversight activities in a checker capacity, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance across customer onboarding and credentialing processes. The role will be responsible for reviewing and validating cases processed by makers, monitoring adherence to regulatory and internal requirements, supporting governance
activities, and identifying operational gaps and risks. The position requires strong attention to detail, process knowledge, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to drive consistent control execution across onboarding and re-credentialing activities. This job is assigned as On-Site Essential and requires in- person work at an assigned TU office location as a condition of employment.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities
Operational Governance & Quality Assurance
- Review and validate member/ entity onboarding and re-credentialing processed by makers to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with defined policies and procedures.
- Perform quality checks on customer documentation, due diligence records, approvals, and system updates.
- Monitor adherence to established SLAs, control requirements, and operational guidelines.
- Escalate exceptions, process deviations, and regulatory concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Support periodic quality reviews and contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Client Credentialing, Onboarding & Re-credentialing Oversight
- Perform checker review of SU, SU3(j), and NSU onboarding and re-credentialing cases.
- Validate customer credentials, supporting documentation, approvals, and due diligence requirements before final closure.
- Ensure onboarding and re-credentialing activities are completed in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Track pending cases and follow up with stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution.
- Assist in maintaining audit-ready documentation and evidence repositories.
Regulatory Compliance, Control Monitoring & MIS
- Support implementation and monitoring of regulatory requirements across onboarding and re-credentialing processes.
- Conduct periodic reviews to identify process gaps, compliance deviations, and control weaknesses.
- Assist in maintaining process notes, SOPs, checklists, and governance documentation.
- Support testing and validation of process changes, regulatory updates, and system enhancements.
- Review management reports, exception summaries, and compliance-related trackers for further review.
- Assisting in management reporting / MIS.
Stakeholder Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Sales, Product, and Technology teams to resolve onboarding and re-credentialing issues.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing required information, evidence, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in governance reviews and contribute insights on recurring issues, quality trends, and operational risks.
- Assist in training and knowledge sharing within the team to ensure consistent execution of processes
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Experience and Skills
- Qualification: Experience in Banking / NBFC / Financial Services preferred or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Onboarding. KYC, governance, compliance, risk, or audit roles
- Exposure to RBI data submissions, audits, or inspections – desirable
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance, Business, or a related field
- Executive presence and assertiveness.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently, handle ambiguous situations and exercise judgement in variety of situations.
- Strong communication, organizational, verbal & written skills.
- High degree of responsibility and ownership, strong multitasking, coordination and tenaciously looking for ways to get results.
