The Nielsen Marketing Cloud (NMC) helps publishers, advertisers and agencies with targetable audience data for programmatic advertising. We connect leading online publishers with advertisers, ad agencies and ad networks who seek to create a more interest-tailored online advertising experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of backend big data software engineers
  • Ability to transform a user story/concept into a working scalable system
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, effectively manage priorities and communicate progress
  • Develop, automate, and enhance SaaS/PaaS platforms built on AWS
  • Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of backend systems
  • Develop applications that are fault-tolerant, scalable, and resilient using Scala, Java, Kafka, and Microservices frameworks
  • Suggest and implement best practices and architecture improvements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering 9+ years of experience with backend big data technologies
  • Previous development experience with Spark, Scala, Kafka, SQL, EMR, S3, Airflow, Hive, and Java6+ years of hands-on experience in server-side development4+ years of experience as a manager or 5+ years as a team lead
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline best practices and associated tools
  • Have worked in Agile and DevOps environment and have good understanding of SDLC
  • Experience with Cloud Native Applications, preferably in AWS
