Your main responsibilities:
Team Management & Engagement
- Manage a scrum team in the delivery of all committed projects on-time, on-scope, adhering to Amadeus corporate standards, methodologies and quality
- Define team objectives and translate them into individual objectives for each team member in line with organizational goals
- Evaluates team and individual performance, provide input for Salary Review
- Develop team(s) based on continuous assessment
- Motivate and guide individual team members to stretch and expand their own capabilities (knowledge, way of working, communication etc.…)
- Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to the department/division/company objectives
- Report on team activities
Technical Excellence
- Responsible for Architecture and Design of the application
- Delivery with optimum quality
- Have scalable architecture keeping in mind the future needs
- Contribute to process improvements
- Communicates with the stakeholders and is a part of all Cross Functional, Stakeholder and Status meetings.
- Collaborate with various teams across site and with stakeholders to update the progress on release planning, raise an alarm upfront whenever necessary to ensure smooth delivery for customers.
- Owning the responsibility and being accountable for the Dev deliverables.
- Own end to end delivery of a specific project within the Digital services organisation and drive quality delivery.
- Work closely with Customers, be SPOC for the team in Toronto, responsible for commitments made by Toronto team.
- Ensure on-time delivery with high quality and UAT sign-off and Production milestones for the releases are adhered to.
- Work with architects and help define system architecture.
- Manage a team consisting of PO, developers, QAs.
- Improves, optimizes, and identifies opportunities for improved software development processes.
- Manages a functional domain of the technology platform and builds solutions with Leadership and business to align with strategy.
- Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Provides supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for associates
- Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products
Innovation
- Build/manage a team fostering a collaborative work environment which promotes innovation and empowerment
- Value ideas from team members and evaluate every opportunity to grow the possible ideas
- Promote continuous improvements on product & development stability, availability and reliability
- Regular innovation brainstorming sessions with the team and intra-team"
About the ideal candidate
Skill Set:
- An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS– Computer Science preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience with the following skills Proven experience in driving architecture, design and development with technical hands-on in full-stack development & helping other team members
- Experience in architecting and designing large size eCommerce web applications
- Excellent knowledge with architecting distributed scalable systems and hands on experience in delivering SOA, cloud and REST Services using Java, Spring, UI, Angular, JavaScript, DevOps etc
- Proficient in JavaScript, JSON, CSS, HTML, Ajax, jQuery, Angular. Having knowledge in Adobe Experience Manager is an additional advantage.
- Experience in Oracle or MS SQL or any other rational database and good understanding and good knowledge on database concepts
- Worked across the product development SDLC, both waterfall and agile
- Distributed systems, web technologies, design patterns, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, UX, Angular and Cloud
- Good knowledge of industry trends Cloud, AI/ML, Conversational Platforms etc.
