We are hiring an experienced Manager – HR Operations & Compliance for a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru.

The ideal candidate must possess strong, practical knowledge of Indian employment laws, statutory compliance and end-to-end HR operations, along with the ability to independently manage HR deliverables across multiple business functions.

This is a hands-on HR operations and compliance role, requiring ownership, attention to detail, process discipline and excellent communication with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations Management

  • Manage employee lifecycle activities from onboarding through exit.

  • Coordinate HR operational deliverables across 4–6 business towers.

  • Manage HR documentation, employee records, HRIS updates and operational reporting.

  • Ensure timely resolution of employee and stakeholder queries.

2. Indian Labour Laws & Statutory Compliance — Mandatory

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Indian central and state employment laws.

  • Demonstrate practical working knowledge of EPF, ESI, gratuity, maternity benefits, statutory bonus, professional tax and applicable Shops & Establishments requirements.

  • Understand the applicability of the four Indian Labour Codes and relevant implementation rules.

  • Coordinate statutory registrations, filings, returns, registers, audits and compliance documentation.

  • Work with payroll, finance, legal and external compliance partners.

  • Monitor legislative changes and ensure timely implementation of applicable requirements.

3. Payroll & Employee Governance

  • Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, leave, statutory deductions and full-and-final settlements.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and compliance evidence.

  • Support internal audits, HR controls and policy implementation.

4. GCC Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with global and India-based business stakeholders.

  • Manage HR operational escalations and cross-functional coordination.

  • Ensure consistent service delivery, timely communication and adherence to SLAs.

Mandatory Candidate Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant HR operations experience.

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory HR compliance.

  • Practical experience managing statutory compliance activities, not merely coordinating with external consultants.

  • Experience handling employee lifecycle processes, payroll coordination and HR governance.

  • Strong Excel, HRIS, documentation and reporting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.

  • Ability to independently manage multiple stakeholders and deliverables.

  • Immediate availability to join.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a GCC, multinational organisation or global shared-services environment.

  • Experience coordinating with international HR teams.

  • Exposure to statutory audits, compliance remediation and HR process improvement.

Important Screening Note

Candidates without demonstrable, hands-on experience in Indian employment law compliance and HR operations will not be considered.

This position is not intended for candidates whose experience is primarily in talent acquisition, strategic HRBP or recruitment.
