About This Team:

Citrix (as part of Cloud Software Group) - the recognized leader in VDI, Desktop-as-a-Service and application delivery solutions enable secure delivery of desktops, applications and SaaS and web apps to more than 100 million endpoints. Citrix Workspace App team is working on secure delivery of virtual apps to any device, anywhere.  This team is responsible for building Citrix Workspace applications across all desktop and mobile OS-es. As part of this team you will be focusing on Citrix workspace applications for Linux operating systems.

As a manager, Software engineering, we are looking for an enthusiastic, positive leader with expertise in Linux client side development, able to bring out the best in people to deliver the best experience to customers.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

As Engineering Manager for the Citrix Workspace App, Linux Team, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality, stable releases to customers, packed with features tailored for diverse Linux distributions(Ubuntu, RHEL, RPi, Debian) and multiple thin clients. 

  • Drive data-driven decisions across product, process, and people, leveraging your analytical skills and curiosity.

  • Champion engineering excellence through continuous improvement and best practices.

    • Establish and utilize key engineering metrics (e.g., defect density, release closedown time, sprint velocity) to track progress and drive improvements.

    • Own and execute the product engineering roadmap, prioritizing performance, scalability, security, and quality through strategic tech debt reduction and automation.

  • Foster strong collaboration with stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains, including executive leadership and peer teams, in both individual and group settings.

  • Build and empower a high-performing engineering team of 8-10 engineers with varying experience levels, focusing on goal alignment and performance management. Attract and retain top talent to ensure the team's continued success.

  • Demonstrate grit and resilience in navigating change, while fostering a positive and engaging team environment.


Basic Qualifications:

  • BE/B.Tech. in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of software development experience - preferably in Linux client applications.

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in engineering management - with at least 2 to 3 projects delivered to customers in production.

  • Exposure to resolving post - production customer escalations / issues.

  • Fair understanding and expertise of Linux system (IPC, packaging), Debugging (GDB), Build and compiler systems

  • Development experience in C++.

  • Pro in development & CI/CD tools. Comfortable with iterative development through Agile

  • Excellent communications skills 

Bonus if you have:

  • Development experience in Typescript and Javascript

  • Exposure to use AI agents, coding assistants to improve team productivity
