Position Overview
We're searching for a Manager- Software Engineering to join our Epic Engineering team in Bengaluru location. To keep us headed in the right direction, we're looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team's diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.
What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET for backend development and ReactJS for frontend development.
• Work on all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure code quality by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Follow best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for code and design.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8-9 engineers including Software Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, and QA professionals.
• Build a high-performing team culture focused on ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support career development for team members.
• Foster strong collaboration with Product Management, Architecture, and cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

We're Excited to Learn More About You

• Education: BE, B. Tech, M. Tech, MCA, MSC
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2-3 years in people management.
• Proven experience leading teams working on micro frontend and microservice architectures.
• Strong backend development skills with REST API design and development expertise.
• Hands-on experience with C# / .NET, ReactJS, TypeScript / JavaScript, SQL Server
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and modular architecture patterns.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.

You may have other skills, including

• Experience with micro frontend frameworks and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Experience building cloud-native applications (AWS or Azure).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in insurance technology or SaaS products.
• Background in scaling teams in globally distributed environments.
