Role Overview:  

The Manhattan SCALE WMS Manager will lead end-to-end SCALE WMS implementations across multiple sites and clients. This role requires deep expertise in Manhattan SCALE WMS and strong leadership skills to manage teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of warehouse management solutions. 

You will serve as the subject matter expert on Manhattan SCALE WMS, overseeing design, configuration, and deployment while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead SCALE WMS implementation projects across multiple warehouses and geographies. 
  • Manage and mentor consultants/engineers working on SCALE WMS projects. 
  • Oversee system configuration, design workshops, and solution architecture. 
  • Collaborate with client leadership to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. 
  • Ensure documentation standards (URS, SOPs, process flows, functional/technical specs, test scenarios). 
  • Coordinate with external vendors for TMS, MHE, packing, and conveyor system integrations. 
  • Drive user acceptance testing, training, and ongoing support. 
  • Troubleshoot complex operational and technical issues across SCALE and integrated systems. 
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and scalability. 
  • Act as the escalation point for critical WMS issues and coordinate with Manhattan Associates support teams. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • 7–10 years of experience in Manhattan SCALE WMS implementations and support. 
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale WMS projects in high-volume, multi-site operations. 
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and warehouse management processes (inbound, outbound, inventory). 
  • Expertise in PL/SQL, SSRS, and ERP integrations with SCALE. 
  • Experience with automation, MHE, and new site rollouts. 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and provide front-line support to warehouse staff. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Manhattan WMS and LMS applications. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 7–10 years of hands-on experience with Manhattan SCALE WMS implementations and support. 
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale WMS projects in high-volume, multi-site operations. 
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, warehouse processes (inbound, outbound, inventory), and automation/MHE integration. 
  • Expertise in ERP integrations with SCALE, PL/SQL, SSRS, and troubleshooting complex WMS/LMS applications. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams. 

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days: 

30 Days In 

  • Gain a deep understanding of Fulfillment IQ’s workflows, warehouse layouts, and client systems. 
  • Shadow engineers and consultants to learn SCALE WMS configurations, integrations, and operational flows. 
  • Review existing documentation (URS, SOPs, process flows) and identify gaps. 
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, operations, client stakeholders). 
  • Deliver a gap analysis report highlighting current system strengths and improvement opportunities. 

60 Days In 

  • Begin optimizing warehouse workflows and layouts for efficiency. 
  • Participate in system design and configuration discussions, suggesting improvements to integrations and automation. 
  • Analyse operational data and propose optimizations for inventory accuracy, inbound/outbound processes, and reporting. 
  • Provide technical input during requirement gathering sessions with clients. 
  • Deliver at least one process improvement initiative and actively contribute to SCALE WMS design/configuration. 

90 Days In 

  • Lead small-scale implementation projects bridging engineering design with warehouse operations. 
  • Implement measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, system accuracy, or reporting performance. 
  • Act as a key contributor in requirement sessions, ensuring solutions are scalable and user-centric. 
  • Present findings and improvements to leadership, backed by KPIs (efficiency gains, reduced errors, improved system adoption). 
  • Establish yourself as the go-to subject matter expert for Manhattan SCALE WMS within Fulfillment IQ.
