Job Summary

Looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in product design, CAD modeling, and prototype development. The candidate should be capable of independently creating mechanical designs based on product requirements and supporting complete mechanical development activities.

Strong knowledge of CAD tools, Onshape, and 3D printing is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical designs based on system and product requirements.

  • Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.

  • Design enclosures, brackets, mounts, and structural components.

  • Work closely with electronics and hardware teams for product integration.

  • Support prototype development, assembly, and validation.

  • Handle tolerance analysis, material selection, and manufacturability considerations.

  • Coordinate with vendors for fabrication and prototyping.

  • Support field testing and design improvements based on feedback.

  • Maintain proper mechanical design documentation.

Required Skills
  • Strong experience in CAD design and mechanical development.

  • Proficiency in:

    • Onshape

    • SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / similar CAD tools

  • Good knowledge of:

    • 3D printing(slicing, and parameter optimization including layer height, material selection, print temperature)

    • Sheet metal design

    • Plastic and metal part design

    • Mechanical assembly techniques

  • Understanding of product integration and practical manufacturing constraints.

  • Ability to convert requirements into functional mechanical designs.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working on embedded or drone-related products.

  • Knowledge of IP-rated enclosure design and thermal considerations.

  • Exposure to rapid prototyping and field validation.

Qualification

BE / BTech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
