A Day in your life at MKS:
As a Mechanical Engineering Specialist (Drafter/Designer) at MKS Global Capability Center Bangalore, you will partner with R&D teams across MKS PSD Business Units to generate, maintain, and document mechanical components and assemblies’ models.
You will make an impact by:
- Sustaining Mechanical Engineering - generate detailed solid models and drawings of components and assemblies, update legacy models and prints. Convert 2D to 3D files.
- Reverse engineer components/assemblies and create manufacturing and assembly drawings from scratch.
- Complete documentation of designs conforming to MKS documentation standards including detail and assembly drawings, BOMs, design review presentations, and reports
- Manage, generate, and implement ECO documentation changes.
- Apply best practices for material selection, design trades, and tolerance studies.
Skills You Bring:
- 2 years’ experience and professional degree, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3D CAD experience with SolidWorks, CREO. PDM experience preferred
- Experience supporting mechanical design group in product development and Engineering Change Order processes in a collaborative, cross functional team environment
- Working knowledge of drafting standards and GD&T ASME Y14.5
