Cardinal Health, with over 1300 employees in Canada, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.

This role will be based in the Greater Toronto Area. As a National inside Sales Representative, you will provide professional and ethical representation while driving sales of Cardinal Health products and National brands to prospective and existing customers in the designated territory in order to meet your sales objectives through daily customer interface.

You will be part of a national sales team and liaise closely with other Departments to ensure Cardinal Health Canada (CHC) achieves its corporate goals and growth strategies within Non-Acute and Acute segments. Serve as internal sales support for pre-defined territory locations to achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and goals. Partner effectively with the various Field Manufacturing Sales Teams to drive territory coverage and maintain positive distributor relationships.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:  

  • Complete customer quotes and sales proposals in a clear and concise manner.

  • Maintain complete product knowledge and serve as an added value to our customer base and distinguish CHC from our competitors.

  • Maintain complete competitor information.

  • Represent CHC in an ethical manner to our customers so that all details of sales transactions are accurately and unambiguously recorded and understood by the two parties, permitting prompt processing.

  • Maintain contact with current customers to identify further account penetration, up selling and bundling opportunities. 

  • Prospect for potential new sales opportunities.

  • Maintain Salesforce.com for effective sales and maintain detailed records of account activity.

  • Maintain customer confidentiality

  • Perform Business Reviews with Top Accounts on a consistent basis

  • This position may require work outside of our normal business hours and possible participation in trade shows, training seminars, workshops and meetings.

The Job might be for you if you:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, sales support and/or marketing in the Canadian healthcare industry.

  • A university degree preferred, in science, marketing and/or business administration discipline.

  • A self-starter who can work independently and in a team environment with an entrepreneurial approach.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks to achieve efficiency and meet customer demands.

  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills.

  • Presentation skills (both virtual and in-person) an asset

  • Sales skills to include demonstrated closing skills. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses considered a strong plus.

  • Organizational skills for proper territory planning/management.

  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position.

  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office including excel and word.
