Overview: The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's networking infrastructure. This mid-level position requires technical expertise and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:

Network Design:
- Design and plan LANs, WANs, and cloud networks.
- Evaluate and select SaaS-based networking solutions (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) based on technical needs.
- Ensure scalable, reliable, and secure network architecture.
- Adhere to project timelines for network-related projects.

Network Implementation & Configuration:
- Deploy new network hardware and software.
- Configure Cisco Meraki routers, switches, firewalls, APs, cameras, and other network devices.
- Ensure proper integration of new technologies with existing infrastructure.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation.

Troubleshooting & Support:
- Resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Provide on-call support for network-related problems.

Network Security:
- Implement and maintain Virtual PA/Meraki firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security measures.
- Ensure regular updates based on OEM advisories and identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate with CISO team/IT manager to mitigate risks and find workarounds.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Use specialized tools to monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Implement strategies to optimize network performance, manage bandwidth, latency, and traffic.

Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work with IT, system administrators, security teams, and management for network integration.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software needs.

Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation on network configurations, changes, and updates.
- Generate reports on network performance, usage, and security for continuous improvement.

Staying Updated with Emerging Technologies:
- Research new networking technologies like SDN, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, etc.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance network efficiency and security.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must Have:
- Expertise with Palo Alto Virtual Panorama and Cisco Meraki.
- Knowledge of network hardware and SaaS-based networking solutions.
- Languages: English, Kannada, Hindi.
- Travel: 10% - 20% to other sites as needed.
Internal Stakeholders: IT Infra, Service Desk, On-site Team
External Stakeholders: Vendor Coordination as needed
