The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a NOC Engineer to join our platform team.

Candidate profile

The NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring key signals, managing incident response, and ensuring uptime across systems. This role requires following a defined incident management process and assuming the role of incident commander when necessary. You’ll handle escalations and be responsible for incident metrics like MTTR and MTTM.

What You’ll Do

• Follow a defined incident management process during outages and escalations.
• Act as incident commander, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
• Monitor critical systems for signs of failure and address issues before they escalate.
• Maintain meticulous records of incidents and track key metrics (MTTR, MTTM).
• Collaborate with teams to refine monitoring and alerting systems.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

• Experience in a NOC environment, following incident management processes.
• Strong understanding of monitoring systems and signal detection.
• Proven ability to handle escalations and take on incident commander responsibilities.
• Experience tracking and improving incident metrics (MTTR, MTTM).
• Ability to collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve reliability.
