WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are looking for a skilled observability engineer to join our team, responsible for building a scalable, efficient and reliable monitoring and observability platform using Grafana components, OpenTelemetry, Splunk and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Design, implement and maintain our monitoring and observability platform, leveraging Grafana components, Splunk, OpenTelemetry and other relevant tools

  • Utilize GitHub for version control, collaboration and code management

  • Provide training and demonstrations in new observability capabilities for other departments within the organization

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, customer support to ensure seamless integration of observability capabilities

  • Provide periodic off-hour on-call support for observability stack related issues.

  • Work closely with team leads and peers to create/ update monitoring documents & assist with overall monitoring project deliverables as needed.

  • Work closely with peers in projects or assigned tasks to meet group and departmental goals and improve processes and practices

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in observability, monitoring and logging

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education and Work Experience:

  • Required bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in application performance management, observability, monitoring or a related field 

  • At least 2+ years of experience in cloud platforms, preferably Azure. Certification is a plus.

  • Strong expertise in Grafana components, including dashboard development, plugin integration, and data source configuration

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as a code

  • Experience with monitoring, logging and tracing tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Tempo and Loki

  • Experience working with OpenTelemetry framework, JSON data formats and APIs

  • Experience with application performance management technologies: server and application (real and synthetic) monitoring components.

  • Experience with GitHub including version control, pull requests and code reviews.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Travel: 0-10

  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.

  • Work Hours: India – Flexible
