About the team

The Operational Effectiveness Team provides robust financial analysis and support across the D&E portfolio to unlock value while also driving and maintaining financial hygiene and governance in the operational processes. This team enables educated decision making for cost management by providing overarching and holistic visualization of the budget utilization of the entire portfolio and consolidating information across products, platforms and services managed by D&E.

About the role

The Operations Performance Analyst collaborates with and supports the designated D&E Function and works closely with our external stakeholders, both within Haleon and external suppliers.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • With Minimum of 8 years of experience within Finance or an analytical function
  • Practical experience with financial management reporting and with budgets
  • Master's degree in Commerce/ Finance / Business Administration, OR any equivalent degree (CA/ICWA)
  • Proficient in MS Excel and powerpoint

Preferred

  • Ability to work with reporting tools such as PowerBI to create meaningful visualisations to illustrate spend across the business
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English and good listener, able to consolidate the portfolio and present ideas coherently leading to achieving a consensus, even where stakeholders are from a diverse range of business areas
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work remotely and with virtual teams
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and with minimal supervision

Key responsibilities

  • To collaborate and drive effective cost management in D&E enabling transparency in the cost reporting process and effective control over the technology budget utilisation
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, challenge the current processes and provide decision support to the tower heads
  • To provide analytical support to Tower heads, budget owners service owners involved in financial transactions within tight budgetary control and financial governance framework
  • Support the CTO 3:1 Plan and CMF processes by collaborating with the designated Towers and translate into detailed phased budgets for monthly tracking
  • Maintain the Run Cost Model with accurate details of approved budgets, reported actuals and forecasts based on commercial commitments and guidance from service owners
  • Liaise with the P2P team and service owners to ensure all service agreements in budget are backed by POs/SOWs for accruals
  • Work closely with the Tech Finance team for accurate booking of month-end accruals, prepayment releases and cross charges
  • Drive the monthly finance review meeting with the towers to provide comprehensive updates on available funding, current cost consumption while also tracking the financial risks and opportunities
  • Adhoc reporting and financial modelling for decision support
  • Facilitating cross charges to ensure D&E P&L has net zero impact of billable costs
  • Delivering accurate forecasts, analysis and insight, timely and valuable reporting on performance
