About the role
As an Operations Manager focused on Cross-Border and Card Payments, you will be instrumental in ensuring reliable, end-to-end payment execution for our customers. You’ll be responsible for investigating issues, resolving payment errors, and keeping everything running like clockwork for our customers. If you’re a problem solver, detail-oriented and passionate about optimising processes in a fast-paced environment, this role will be an amazing opportunity to learn and grow.
What you'll do
- Investigate and resolve cross-border and card payment issues - including declines, failures, blocks, suspicious activity, and partner-raised RFIs
- Act as the first point of contact for internal teams (Customer Experience, Success, Tech) seeking help on payment related queries
- Handle customer disputes related to unauthorised or incorrect transactions, investigating the root cause and coordinating with internal teams or partners for resolution
- Collaborate with our partners to identify and resolve payments-related issues, working closely with internal teams to ensure timely resolution
- Troubleshoot complex cross-border and card payment issues, independently solving problems while knowing when to escalate matters
- Document transaction-related knowledge gained from handling issues, contributing to continuous improvement
What we are looking for
- 3 - 6 Years of Experience in FinTech, Payments, or Banking Operations, preferably in a startup environment or from a Big Four consulting firm.
- Strong understanding of cross-border and card payments concepts.
- Experience in B2B SaaS is a plus.
- Owner mentality and hands-on approach, demonstrating a willingness to cover various tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
- Proven ability to work independently and make decisions autonomously
