We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Operations Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the monitoring, alerting, automation, and cost management of our OCI environments. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of our cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitoring: Implement and manage OCI Monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of OCI resources. 
  • Auto-Remediation: Develop and implement self-healing mechanisms to automatically resolve common issues. 
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Terraform, Ansible, and Python to streamline cloud operations. 
  • Alerting: Set up alerts for critical issues and ensure timely resolution. 
  • Cost Management:Monitor and optimize cloud spending using OCI Cost Management tools. Implement cost-saving measures. 
  • Logging: Implement and manage logging solutions to track and analyze system activities. 
  • Auditing: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. 

Skills: 

  • Proficiency in OCI services and tools (e.g., OCI Monitoring, OCI Cost Management, OCI Resource Manager). 
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python). 
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. 
  • Familiarity with incident management and root cause analysis. 
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for cloud environments. 
  • Expertise in OCI Compute, Storage, and Networking services. 
  • Experience with OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM) for secure and efficient user and resource management. 
  • Proficiency in managing OCI Database services and ensuring high availability and performance. 
  • Understanding of OCI Load Balancing and Traffic Management for optimal resource distribution. 
  • Experience with OCI Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud operations, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). 

Soft Skills: 

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements. 
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in cloud operations. 
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
