Responsibilities:
• Able to work nonstandard hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as critical projects demand.
• Able to be decisive when faced with problems and making decisions while managing priorities.
• Ensure customer maintenance tasks and projects are completed on time.
• Adhere to Incident escalation via supervisors and other stakeholders.
• Participate in hand off calls for critical issues and upcoming maintenance to the next on team.
• Identify areas of improvement and work with Global DBA team and supervisors to improve and automate where possible.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an ORACLE APPLICATION DBA.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing ORACLE Database projects.
• 2+ years DBA experience with Open-source databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.
• Migration of Oracle to PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Experience in and Proficient in Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience in managing large production databases 10 to 50 Terabytes, performance tuning
• Experience with Hyperscale Cloud Database services
• Excellent communication skills.
• Well organized, ability to manage and prioritize workload and work independently.
• Competent in following documented process and adhering to DBA standards and best practices.
• Ability to triage system performance, perform operational and housekeeping tasks associated
with Databases like Security, Backup, Recovery, Monitoring and Tuning.
• Working with development and functional team on customizations and troubleshooting issues
• Ability to demonstrate previous Project execution expertise in
o Oracle EBS R12, R12.2 upgrade
o Oracle Database Upgrade 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c
o Open-Source Databases Install, Upgrade, Migration
o Oracle ERP, Database - migration project to Public/Private cloud
o Weblogic, Java Upgrades
o SOA upgrade
o Agile upgrade.
o Vertex upgrade.
o Project Delivery to the agreed timeline.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience with Project execution of below
• ERP R12.1, R12.2 upgrade
• Database Upgrade 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c
• Open-Source Databases Install, Upgrade, Migrate
• ERP- migration project to cloud
• SOA upgrade
• Agile upgrade.
• Vertex upgrade
Experience with some of the following technologies:
• Scripting: Perl, Python, C Shell, Bourne Shell, Korn shell, Powershell
• OS: Linux, OEL, Windows, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX
• Oracle DBMS: 11g, 12c, 19c, RAC, Enterprise Edition, OEM, AWR
• Oracle EBS: 11.x, 12.x.
• Open-source: PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Addl Applications: OBIEE, Hyperion, SSO, UPK, Demantra, Vertex, SOA, APEX, VCP
• Middleware software: Weblogic, Tomcat, JBOSS, Glassfish
Experience in working across Public (OCI, AWS, Azure) and Private Cloud Data Center platforms is a
must.
Having Professional certifications in RDBMS, Open-Source Databases, OCI, AWS, Azure platforms
