Job Responsibilities:
Scope of Position
  • Manages the overall control and movement of materials in and out of plants. Directs and administers some or all the following: communication when purchasing needs involved, production scheduling and control, inventory and warehouse stock control, warehousing, customer sales order entry, customer service, traffic and shipping.

Minimum Requirements
  • 10 years experience in a production environment
  • Minimum of five years of supervision and scheduling experience
  • Must be computer literate, with very strong computer skills
  • Must be organized
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment

Job Specific Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing the Production Control department.
  • Coordinate with shipping/receiving team all inbound/outbound shipments are supported for production requirements.
  • Review weekly customer releases, analyze balance to build conditions
  • Reviews daily with planning team suppliers on time and past due deliveries
  • Based upon customer releases and inventories on hand, works with planning team and production team to set schedule considering capacities and manpower requirements
  • Works with Quality Control on any issues with defective material, Production Control relative to any late deliveries and coordinates all vendor returns.
  • Monitors daily plant production, ensuring all customers schedules are being met
  • Reviews all inventory cycle counts and investigates any significant variances.
  • Coordinates and manages physical inventories.
  • Ensures full compliance with all MAFACT, Q1 and MMOGLE requirements
  • Ensure all legislative requirements of OSHA are met.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management.
